 & The Will Speck Scholarship for a Bay View Academy Senior Runner

Will Speck is a graduate of Providence College. During his time at PC, he participated in a number of races and marathons, notably finishing 7th in the world-renowned Boston Marathon. He worked for the State of Rhode Island Department of Elderly Affairs for 28 years as chief information specialist. Kind and patient with the elderly, fun loving and supportive with his coworkers, Will showed genuine care and concern for each and every individual he encountered. While working for DEA, he rejuvenated the CLCF (Cranston’s League for Cranston’s Future) track and cross country programs, all on a voluntary basis. He was an inspiration to the children and parents who participated. Coach Will was adored by his Bay View Bengal track and cross country runners. He was creative in to motivating the girls to do their best, but most of all, he taught them to have fun.
Will Speck loved life. Come and celebrate his life and memories.
